Одна́ до́брая волше́бница реши́ла посели́ться в теа́тре, One kind fairy decided to settle in a theaterи не потому́, что ей хоте́лось устра́ивать там чудеса́, not because she wanted to perform miracles there,а про́сто потому́, что ей надое́ло ка́ждый ве́чер выколдо́вывать себе́ биле́т в теа́тр. but simply because she was tired of conjuring a theater ticket for herself every evening

Она́ реши́ла посели́ться в теа́тре, She decided to settle in the theaterно до́лго не могла́ реши́ть, but for a long time could not decide в како́м и́менно ме́сте теа́тра ей посели́ться.in which exact part of the theater she should stay.Она́ хоте́ла жить там, отку́да лу́чше всего́ ви́дно сце́нуShe wanted to live where the stage could be seen best; видно - it is visible – и, наконе́ц, вы́брала себе́ сце́ну. and finally she chose the stage itself: “chose for herself the stage” Она́ постро́ила там хруста́льный дворе́ц с ба́шней, There she built a crystal palace with a towerпоста́вила подогрева́ться ча́йникset a kettle to heatи ста́ла ждать ве́чера, and began to wait for the evening что́бы вдо́воль полюбова́ться спекта́клем.to enjoy the performance in full.

Ей очень понравилась сказка про Красную Шапочку, She liked the story about Little Red Riding Hood very muchтолько она не поняла,though she could not understand зачем понадобилось развешивать по деревьям столько белых чайников! why it had been necessary to hang so many white teapots on the trees

Спекта́кль прошёл как нельзя́ лу́чше. The performance couldn’t have gone better.
